Lines of Convergence: My Father and Me: A Story Telling Adventure

My father was a pioneer in Avionics. At Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, where I was born, he was the chief engineer at the Communications and Navigation Laboratory. He invented the airborne direction finder, the left-right compass that was on every WWII bomber and fighter. He worked with Ed Link to add navigation and landing modules on the Link Trainer. After the war, he established worldwide frequencies and procedures for civilian aviation and was awarded the Collier Trophy for the aircraft transformer. built a prototype instrument landing system and designed an entire traffic control system.In my case, I led cooperative development around the world, including credit unions, rural telecommunication, and electrification, dairy, fruit and vegetable, low-cost housing, and agricultural cooperatives.This book attempts to document and describe how we both thought in conceptual and systems concepts, which I learned and inherited from my father.
